  • Dr. Seuss wrote it, "...toward a most useless place. The Waiting Place."
  • Seth Godin blogged it, "If you're looking for 'how', if you're looking for a map....you've totally missed the point."
  • Nike advertised it, "...do it."
  • Rob Thomas sang it, "...lives are made in these small hours."
How many times have you caught yourself saying, "I need to, but..."; "I want to, but..."; "I really should, but...".  Perhaps it's time to get off the "but" and start it, do it, launch it, write it...now.  Use the good china, sign up for that class, start training for that marathon, write that cover letter, submit that drawing / poem / writing piece, volunteer at that place, buy that food scale...now.

A co-worker once told me many years ago, "I don't want to live my life like a countdown."  Waiting until the right time? There is no right time. Go now.

    Still baking...

What is the difference between being comfortable versus being complacent?  I have no idea, so  I challenge myself.  Challenge my thinking, my parenting, my husband-ing; attempt to challenge my assumptions and my understanding of things.  I won't get it right all the time so I welcome all constructive feedback. The goal?  To "...be satisfied with life always but never with one's self." (George Jean Nathan)
